Mr. Griffith focuses his practice on Workers' Compensation,
and also handles Nursing Home Neglect, Social Security
Disability cases.
Professional:
Mr. Griffith has been
featured in the South Carolina Lawyer's Weekly newspaper for a
settlement of the leading case in South Carolina on
an issue regarding workers' compensation benefits. He was also
featured in a South Carolina Lawyer's Weekly article on the top
reported verdicts and settlements in South Carolina for 2005,
for the settlement of a Nursing Home Neglect case. Additionally,
Martindale-Hubbell has given Mr. Griffith their highest
rating, an AV Peer Review Rating, for preeminent legal
ability and ethical standards. Before law school,
Mr. Griffith worked over three
years as in insurance adjuster for two major insurance companies
in South Carolina. He has been licensed in
South Carolina as an insurance adjuster and appraiser since
1988. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1985-1993 and was
honorably discharged as a First Lieutenant, Military Police
Corps. Previously Mr. Griffith was a partner in the
Standeffer,
Harbin &
Griffith, LLP law firm and it predecessors from 1998 through
2005, and was an associate with Standeffer & Brislane from 1995
through 1997.

Mr. Griffith is admitted
to practice in all courts in South Carolina, the United States
District Court for the District of South Carolina, the United
States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and before the South
Carolina Workers Compensation Commission and the Social Security
Administration.

He is a

Anderson County Bar, South Carolina Workers' Compensation

Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Griffith is also a member of the
Million Dollar Advocates Forum and South Carolina Super Lawyers
(Workers Compensation).
Education:
Mr. Griffith received
his B.A. Degree from The Citadel - The Military College of
South Carolina in 1987, and his J.D. Degree
from Loyola University, New Orleans in 1994. He also
graduated with honors from the U.S. Army, Military Police Corps
School in 1988.
